FEF is part of a broader community of organizations in the family business space that includes Family Enterprise Canada the FEA Program (hereinafter "Community Partners"). To make your experience on our Site and in our community as seamless as possible, FEF may share your contact information with our Community Partners to provide you with opportunities to learn, connect or participate. We will never sell or otherwise distribute your contact information.

Personal Use of our Website and its Content

FEF grants you a license to navigate our Site through a web browser, for your personal use. As such, you may download pages and documents on your personal computer and print (but not publish or otherwise reproduce) any of the pages of our Site, for your convenience. No part of our Site or the publications published herein may be otherwise reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, used in any other document, or transmitted in any form or by any means (whether they be electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording, or otherwise) without FEF’s express permission.

Certain services provided through our Site may allow you to download certain forms of content, including computer files and/or data. As the case may be, this content is made available to you by FEF or third parties subject to these Terms and Conditions and the other terms and conditions that may be presented at the time of registration or download. You further agree that FEF, including its partners, will not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, in any way for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of, or in connection with your use of, or reliance on, the content obtained from our Site. Certain services provided through our Site may require that we collect certain registration data from you. Limitations of Liability

In no event shall FEF, its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, successors or assigns or other representatives be liable, whether in contract, warranty, tort (including negligence-whether active, passive or imputed), product liability, strict liability or other theory, to you or any other person for any damages (including, without limitation, any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive or consequential damages) arising out of or in connection with any use of, inability to use, or results of use of our Site or any content on our Site even if FEF or its representative have been advised of the possibility of such damages. If any portion of the foregoing limitation is found to be invalid or unenforceable for any reason, then FEF total liability to you shall in no event exceed ten Canadian dollars (CDN$10.00). Indemnification

You shall indemnify and save harmless FEF, its officers, directors, employees, affiliates, partners, service providers, consultants, representatives and agents from and against any claim, cause of action or demand, including, but not limited to, reasonable legal, accounting and other professional fees brought as a result of: (a) your access or your use of our Site; (b) your breach of these Terms and Conditions; and (c) your use or reliance on, or publication, communication or distribution of anything on or from FEF or through the Site. You shall use your best efforts to cooperate with us in the defense of any claim. We reserve the right, at our own cost and expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you.

Online Shopping

In order to purchase products or services through our Site, you must have the age of majority in your province/territory of residence and you must agree to pay for all charges incurred through your account, in the event that you make purchases of products or services through our Site. Furthermore, any product or service ordered or purchased from our Site may only be ordered or purchased for non-commercial and lawful purposes and any other use is not permitted. In addition to any other rights or remedies, FEF may, in its sole discretion and without any limitation of liability, restrict or terminate your access to any part of our Site at any time.

Prices of our Products & Services

All prices listed on our Site are in American dollars and do not include any taxes or shipping fees when applicable. Shipping fees include a certain preparation and handling fee, plus a postage fee. They are comprised of a fixed amount and of a variable amount related to the number of purchased items. The geographical zone where the customer lives and the shipping method can also modify the shipping fees. Shipping fees will be charged for every order of items. It is therefore advised to combine all your items under one order. The total amount of your order is to be paid in full and in one payment at the same time as the order. Any international shipping may have customs and local taxes to be paid by the purchaser.

As the case may be, any prices indicated on our Site in a currency other than American dollars, are based on an approximate exchange rate with a currency chosen by you, and displayed for your convenience only. If need be, the actual exchange rate applicable to your purchases through our Site will be the actual rate applied by the issuing institution of your credit card on the date of your purchase.

Account Name and Password

You might require an account name and a password in order to avail yourself of certain activities on our Site. As the case may be, it is solely your responsibility to keep your account information and password secure. You must not disclose your password to anyone. You agree to notify FEF immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. FEF disclaims all liability arising from or related to your failure to keep your account name and password secure.

All information regarding purchasers of our products & services and donors is kept in the strictest confidence by the Foundation. It will not be sold or traded, and will not be disclosed to anyone except the Foundation, and its employees, authorized agents, officers and directors, and affiliates. The information will only be used to further enhance the mission of the Foundation in our development efforts.

We strictly protect the security of your personal information and honour your choice for its intended use. We take all possible measures to protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. You may access your personal information at any time to ensure that it is correct and current, or to edit it if you so desire.

Any information you provide during enrolment or registration is protected by our Privacy Policy. You acknowledge that FEF has the right, but no obligation to monitor its Site and Site usage by users from time to time, and to disclose any information required by law, regulations, or authorities for the purpose of properly operating the Site and its services or protecting FEF or its users in accordance with this Privacy Policy and any pertinent privacy protection laws.

This policy identifies the privacy practices of the Family Enterprise Foundation web site only. All personal data provided by our web site visitors, purchasers of our products & services, and donors is secure information. In order to prevent unauthorized access and ensure the proper use of information, we have developed electronic and managerial procedures to secure information provided online.

The Family Enterprise Foundation strictly protects the security of your Personal Information and honors your choices for its intended use. We carefully protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Your personal information is never shared outside the company without your permission, except under conditions explained above. Inside the company, data is stored in password-controlled servers with limited access.

Registration to virtual learning education

Each user registering to a FEF virtual learning education must use his or her username and password for his or her own educational activities only. The username and password cannot be shared with others, and the virtual learning education cannot be commercialized by the registered user or used in any other way than for the function and purpose it serves.
