Communicating the Transition Process

There are a number of issues that affect how we parent or how we are as siblings and we talked about framing earlier and part of a framing is how we were brought up or how our parents engaged with conflict together with us when were young and often we do what our parents do so I mentioned the case of a Japanese young man his he was 43 years old I asked when did your father get the role of president and he said 45 so do you think your father is going to think you more suitable to take that roll at a younger age than he is knowing that respect and faith is very very important in your culture and he said no I guess that makes sense Often we don't communicate what the transition should be because we haven't thought it through we might sometimes need the help of outside advisors to help us with that process outside directors to help us deal with issues that are so close to us and so emotional for us we're not even realizing that we're tied up in our own framing not allowing us to manage the business in as effective a way as possible to have harmony in the transition.
