Three Key Activities an Intrapreneur Must Begin With

An intrapreneur in the context of a family business has to focus at the early stages of his initiative or his company in the following three items. First, he needs to have a clear purpose of what he’s trying to look for with the clarity of the vision that he wants to go after and he needs to get in love with the problem and has to be flexible enough to try different things. So, be careful in trying to get in love with your solution. You don’t know if that solution is the right solution to solve that problem. Second, what you need to do as an intrapreneur is that you need to be able to have resources but also, an environment where you can have a lot of flexibility to experiment and adapt as you are learning because you don’t know exactly what are the restrictions or the conditions out there in the market. And the third is that you need to come up with a team, assemble a team with resources both from the family business as well as from the outside that can help you get your solution streamed. And it’s important in this context to get outside validation to get support from third parties entities or even third party investors that want to join you because that validation will help you create a market based solution and not just a product that you want to bring out to the market.
