Building Your Management Style

You cannot step in to the management style of the previous generation, Eva Wathen explains; you need to develop your own.

My father was the big patron of the company and of course he had his peers that, most of them males, and that looked up to him. And then all of a sudden if I came as a chairwoman of the board, I couldn’t earn the same respect from the very beginning, it’s completely different, you have to build your own management, your own peer group, everything, from the very start.
