How Working With my Mom Changed my View of Her

Maylen and Beth Cytryn discuss how working together gave Maylen a new perspective on her mother as a person.

Beth: I don’t think that it’s changed our relationship, I don’t believe that working together has changed our relationship, what I do believe is that working together has given Maylen a lot of insight into my strengths and weaknesses and with her having that insight, she was able to, she probably sees me as a mother in a different way, or an evolved way but I think more importantly she sees me as a woman in a very different way. Maylen: I think she put it very well that I didn’t only see her as my mom, but more as this woman who has challenges and this woman who has issues in her life that need to be faced and seeing how she faces them and seeing the way she handles business matters has really changed the way that I think I see her.
