Hey Mom, why aren’t you at the conference with Dad this weekend? Oh, I’m a supporter of our family business over the years, but I’m not actively involved darling. Mom, you’re the one who gets us all together to talk about family things, and other business issues. Well, that’s true, but apart from getting everyone to talk, I’m not actively involved. You’re also the one who talked to me about joining family business. And pushed for proper policies on family employment. Ok, yes, that’s true, but apart from sorting out proper family policies, and apart from getting everyone together to talk… Mom, you’re also the one who’s been working on structures to make sure that Justin can come back into the business after university. You’re like, the main family person. Well, I’d say that apart from everything, all those wonderful things you’ve just mentioned…ok, ok. Maybe I have been more actively involved in the business. Of course you have. And you know what, the best leaders are the ones that lead from behind the scenes. Like you, Mom. Thank you sweetie.
